Bargains that Benefit is a major undertaking that has been in the works since September, 2010. The concept is so appealing! Bargains that Benefit is a Groupon/Living Social type site, but does them one better by donating 20% the proceeds from each purchase to the school of the buyer's choice. We will feature only local merchants and benefit only local schools, thus strengthening our community. It's a perfect example of using the Internet to do some good in this world, and I'm happy to play a part in its creation as web developer (designer, programmer, database designer, graphic artist). We just launched the fully-functional site on June 9, 2011. My work on this site will be ongoing indefinitely.
Project 2 (which is not yet available for public viewing) is an adorable retro, '50s-style site for a housecleaning company. The site will be launched as soon as the company is ready to open its doors.
Project 3 (which is not yet available for public viewing) is a website offering specialized Excel-based software to certain types of insurance agents -- definitely a niche market. Areas include tutorials, downloads, and an integrated Wordpress blog. Launch will probably be in the later months of 2011. (The name of the company and software has been blanked out in the image below.)
Project 4 (which is also not yet available for public viewing) is a website marketing the services of videographers who create virtual tours for Realtors. My work is completed on this project, and it will become public when a sufficient number of videos are available for demonstration purposes on the site.
