Do you just need an itsy-bitsy, teensy-weensy one-page website? Sometimes that can work. It's possible to convey your location, hours of business, services offered, contact info and other pertinent details on a single page. This solution is most appropriate for businesses that will be searched for by the business name rather than keywords. In other words, if you have a restaurant named "Sandy's Sandwich Shop," you are not likely to turn up in search result pages when people enter words like "sandwiches Tucson." But you'll be right there at the top if someone enters "Sandy's Sandwich Shop Tucson."
Wordpress Website: Starting Price $160
This is the simplest, most affordable, fastest, yet effective way to establish a real web presence. Wordpress is free, open-source software, replete with a smorgasbord of plugins that do everything imaginable. It's pure magic. It installs in a matter of minutes and my work consists primarily of customizing the layout and design and tweaking the settings. Wordpress can also serve as a foundation for an online store, photo gallery, and a great many other things. Wordpress is recommended for those who are very comfortable with computers and desire to manage their own content. Starting price assumes text-based content and includes basic customization and tutoring on the use of Wordpress.
Basic Custom 8-Page Website:
Starting Price $320
Includes custom layout and design, contact form, and search engine optimization. One suggested use for a site like this is to display your products or services without selling them directly over the Internet. Customers could use the contact form to initiate a purchase that would be concluded offline or to schedule an appointment. Please note that this type of website is not editable by you, but small occasional changes to the content are included at no extra charge. Of course, this can be taken beyond Basic with any number of features added on at additional cost.
Custom Ecommerce Website:
Starting Price $4000
Includes database creation and population, admin tools, shopping cart, search form, contact form, catalog display, 3rd party payment processing, custom layout and design. Everything is done from scratch. This solution is for companies desiring a unique and special web presence.
