Hello World is the name of the sample post included in all new WordPress installations. I always delete it, but this time, the title is appropriate. It’s 10:52 PM, June 16, 2011 and the completely remodeled www.gradiance-design.com website has just pecked out of its shell to view the world from the perspective of its new webhost, Hostgator.
I created the original site back in 2008 when screen resolutions were typically between 800×600 and 1024×768. The width of the content area was 800 pixels, which was just right at a time when wide screen, high resolution monitors were still a rarity. As time passed, monitors became increasingly wide with higher resolution, and my website began to look positively anorexic, all scrunched against the left wall, with mostly empty black space filling the rest of the screen. But I was too busy to fix it! You know how that goes.
